- Register and oversee camps, programs, activities, and events in accordance with University Policy 8.8, Children and Youth Safety
- Administer background checks and sex offender registry checks for all volunteers working with children and youth in camps, programs, activities, and events.
- Administer required staff and volunteer education and training.
- Repository for required children and youth camps, programs, activities, and events forms.
- Provide guidance and outreach to camps, programs, activities, and events involving children and youth.
- Conduct on-site visits and administrative reviews of camps, programs, activities, and events involving children and youth.
- Work with university stakeholders to ensure the safety of Cornell's children and youth.
When to Contact Children and Youth Safety
- To plan for or register camps, programs, activities, and events that involve children and youth.
- To determine camp, program, activity, or event requirements in accordance with University Policy 8.8, Children and Youth Safety
- To discuss or navigate children and youth safety questions or concerns.
- To report results of NYS camp inspection findings.
- To report incidents involving children or youth during camps, programs, activities, and events.
