Addressing Compliance Concerns

When compliance concerns are identified, Cornell's goal is to work collaboratively with program leadership to understand the circumstances, address concerns, and support continuous improvement.

Depending on the nature and severity of the concern, corrective actions may include:

• Additional training or education.
• Updates to program procedures or documentation.
• Enhanced supervision or monitoring practices.
• Follow-up reviews to verify that concerns have been addressed.
• Other actions deemed necessary to protect the safety and well-being of participants and ensure compliance with university requirements.

Most compliance concerns can be resolved through clarification, additional training, procedural updates, or enhanced oversight. Programs are expected to work cooperatively with CYS to address concerns in a timely manner and implement any necessary corrective actions.
