How Can Cornell's Crisis Response Team (CRT) Help My Program?

"It's okay to not know what to do."

CRT offers mobile crisis support for any individual on Cornell's Ithaca campus. CRT can help with:

  • Crisis de-escalation.
  • Safety assessment.
  • Facilitation of transport to local/regional hospitals.
  • Creation of a support plan for the individual in need, including resources both on- and off-campus.
  • Contacting the parent/guardian(s) of a minor in crisis and providing them with resources.
  • Providing support to those directly or indirectly affected by a crisis or trauma.
  • Post-event debrief sessions.
  • Continuing support post-crisis or trauma.
  • CRT and CAPS can also provide education before a program begins.

In an emergency situation, dial 911 or CUPD at 1-607-255-1111 and CRT will be dispatched.

In non-emergency situations, CRT can be reached at 1-607-253-2100 or commresponseteam@cornell.edu. Stop by and visit at Appel Commons Room 103.
