Begin planning as early as possible. Complete the items below before your program begins and, where applicable, before submitting your registration to Children and Youth Safety (CYS). A documented staffing and supervision plan is required for program approval.

Staffing & Supervision Planning

 Staffing model aligns with required supervision ratios (plan for staff attrition and absences, transitions, and higher-risk activities)
 Initial program personnel identified

Safety & Compliance Planning

Determination made whether NYSDOH permit is required (summer programs only; contact your local health department at least 90 days prior to program start).
